Starting at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year, student birthdays should only be recognized with non-food celebrations. This standard is in addition to the guidance on healthy celebrations and non-food rewards in the District Wellness and Policy Guidelines. The Wellness Policy Guidelines are based on federal requirements and Jeffco community input. It was designed to address nutrition, allergy, and equity concerns.
